A source-and-question worksheet
Keep a record of a claim
When a statement catches your attention, keep the wording and source together. This worksheet helps you organise your questions; it does not assess whether a product is suitable for you.
- 1. Exact statement
- Copy the sentence, including any qualifier beside it.
- 2. Where you saw it
- Record the page, author or seller, URL and date you accessed it.
- 3. Source offered
- Record the linked source, its title and the passage the seller points to. If no source is given, write “not supplied”.
- 4. What it refers to
- Ask whether the statement concerns the specific finished item, an ingredient, or a broader topic. Record the answer rather than guessing.
- 5. What remains unclear
- Write one specific question. Record who you asked, when, and the reply you actually received.
